My piggy life
Me, me, me!
My Piggy Life, hmmm not so sure about the dodgy title but I guess it's accurate to say the least and I can't go firing my mum (Sonia, my other mummy but we'll come to that later) now can I seeing as she's the one I've *ahem* conned into typing this for me, well her fingers are faster than paws!
I, as you have by now gathered, am Piggy which is short for Piglet although I also get called Porky, Puggy, Pugger and well pretty much anything they feel like really. I am a female Fawn Pug with a perfectly proportioned physique despite what some may say, Pugs are supposed to be round I keep telling them but they don't believe me *snort*, anyway I have a beautiful curly tail, cute wrinkles in all the right places, a smooshed up face (hit by a bus mummy Sonia calls it, the cheek!) and a tongue which always seems to be hanging out my mouth. I am 5 years old now (26th March - an Aries dog) and I've been living with my mummies since I was 18 months old. We live in a nice house in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and I have my own garden with a big oak tree in it for when I fancy a nice gentle stroll. I do have to share my humans/house/garden with the rest of my family but I don't want to be telling you too much about them now do I after all it is me you're supposed to be falling in love with! Ok ok mummy told me not to be mean and stroppy so let me introduce you to the rest of the family (just remember I'm the top dog though ok)!
My Family
My mummies – I'm super special in that I have 2 mummies instead of one, mummy Sonia and mummy Ruth. They've been together for several years now and married for 5 years. Both my mummies love me to bits although mummy Ruth is slightly easier to con with the puggy eyes for food as long as I don't jump up at her legs which she doesn't like, she does however usually let me lick out her empty yoghurt pot *yummy*. Mummy Sonia is my nightly pug warmer and lets me snuggle up to her on the sofa to keep warm and snuggle up under her blanket, I'm her hug-a-pug, she also doesn't mind me squeezing between her and her laptop when she's trying to play her games on Facebook. Mummy Ruth however is something referred to as a GEEK (dunno what it is but it sounds important) and therefore sometimes I get evicted from the sofa so mummy can have her laptop on her knee and do work (or I have to go sit on mummy Sonia's knee instead), I guess I can't complain though as she did build me this fab website after all.
My canine sister – I have a canine sister, Pepsi an almost 8 year old St Bernard, she's been here longer than me and is very very special to mummy Sonia especially, she's her "Little Baby Girl", even though she's not little at all really. Pepsi is cool though she lets me at least think I'm top dog most of the time even if I'm not really, she is. Pepsi seems to have claimed the other sofa to where my mummies and I sit as her bed, well she is a big gentle giant of a dog so she needs the space to spread out. She usually lets me share the sofa with her though if my mummies are busy and there isn't enough room for me on the sofa with them. Pepsi also likes giving me kisses which mean I end up with a soggy face and ears lol. I also have my 'Posing Pouffee' as mummy Ruth calls it and there I can have a nice nap whilst keeping one ear and eye on the TV to make sure no animals come on there that have to be barked at to chase them away and out my house.
The Ratbags – The ratbags aka the felines or cats make up the rest of my family, there is currently 5 of them in the house, Gracie, Little M, Miss miss, Freya & Isis, although there has been as many as 7 before! As you can probably tell they really aren't my most favourite of creatures but I tolerate them because they make my mummies happy and they do have there uses, I mean without them in the house there would be no cat food to steal now would there and I would have nothing to chase either (don't tell mummy I chase them though she wouldn't like it especially as her baby Gracie is one of my favourite chase toys *grin*).
My Favourite Things
Well number one on my list has to be food, I'm a pug, what more can I say, it's in my genes and I have to eat regularly to keep up my good looks and portly figure, you don't become a SuperPug like me without lots of hard work (sleeping and eating are hard work trust me) and regular snacks (mine or others I'm not fussy) if there is food going it's mine, if it might be going it's mine and if you're eating it well its still mine, get the picture?
My second favourite thing to do is sleeping, sleeping on mummy Sonia's lap is best as then I get cuddles, kisses and belly rubs thrown in for free but anywhere warm and comfy will do me really. Mummy says I snore when I'm asleep, this I deny, i'm a finely bred Pug and they don't snore actually she says I can even snore whilst I'm awake so maybe she's confusing snoring with a Pugs finely tuned relaxation snorts, it shows we're happy a bit like those cats when they do that strange purring thing.
I'm not sure what else to write for my other favourites, it's definitely not going walkies, too much like hard work that is! Although i am getting better at going now that i've lost weight which makes my mummies happy and therefore makes me happy even if it is hard work (have you seen how far they want my little legs to walk! *snort*) Mummy says barking at the TV, but thats not something I do for fun, don't they understand I'm protecting our house from those nasty animals that are trying to get into it through the TV. Really they are and if I didn't bark and chase them away we'd have millions and millions of animals in our house and then there would be no room for me and no food either! *shudder* No food now there's a dreadful thought!!! Chasing the cats is a fun game to play although mummy Ruth says her favourite game to play with me is called Pugby, which I don't find funny as it means she's evicting me from my comfy spot on the sofa, anyway no doubt she'll add a page to this site in time and show you how to play Pugby.
Anyway after writing (ok well dictating) all this I need a nap and a nice biscuit (or two) catch you all later.
